WSI Global Convention: Keynote Speaker Double-Header!

Posted by Bruce On September - 21 - 2010

In just about a week, we’ll be hosting our annual WSI Global Convention! From September 24th to the 26th, WSI franchisees will be traveling from all around the globe to converge in Miami, USA, for 3 days full of workshops, case study presentations and endless collaboration opportunities to exchange world-class digital marketing methods and strategies. Put simply, we’re literally forming an international “Think Tank.”

Just as impressive, perhaps, is the keynote address that’s we’ve lined up. In fact, we have two keynote speakers for this convention: Avinash Kaushik and Scott Klososky!

Day 1 Keynote Speaker: Avinash Kaushik

As many already know, Avinash Kaushik is a best-selling author, entrepreneur, and public speaker for a topic that is at the very core of the WSI community: how to reinvent your digital existence.  He has championed the evolution of countless organizations’ online strategies to a more customer and data driven approach. As an established authority on leveraging data analytics, an essential addition to everyone’s reading list should be Avinash’s blog Occam’s Razor, and of course his best-selling books Web Analytics: Hour a Day and Web Analytics 2.0.

Day 2 Keynote Speaker: Scott Klososky

Next up we have social technology expert Scott Klososky as the keynote for day 2. He’s a former CEO and has worked with a number of large corporations assisting them with the latest media technologies and how to leverage such tools to boost their profitability. Having already heard Scott speak, he is undeniably a thought leader in this continually evolving field. Like WSI, Scott shares in the vision to recognize and utilize emerging fields to help businesses thrive and prosper.

I can safely say that the whole WSI community is looking forward to hearing both these gentlemen speak. It’ll be a pleasure to have them join us for this year’s Global Convention!

I can say with confidence that the WSI Franchise Network is full of franchisees who truly exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit and the resilience needed to succeed as business owners. Especially in the unsteady market we’ve experienced these past few years.

WSI Franchisees recognize the rapidly evolving market potential. And they have continual support from a strong foundation built with a certification program and ongoing training as Digital Marketing Consultants. Our franchisees are, without question, well-equipped professionals who know how to maximize their earning potential, as well as the earning potential of their clients!

And on a different end of the business spectrum, some of our franchisees have chosen to invest in a WSI Franchise as a way to achieve a better quality of life for themselves and their families. In some cases, embarking on the WSI Franchise Opportunity has truly become a family affair.

For instance, franchisee Drew Himel and his father, Marvin, joined the WSI Franchise Network in 2007. And theirs is a story that was recently featured in The Wall Street Journal, in the article When Folks Give You the Business.”

Here is a short excerpt from the article:

Respecting an adult child’s need for autonomy while watching them make mistakes can be painful, says Marvin Himel, a Jacksonville, Fla., sales-training consultant. After Mr. Himel bought his son Drew an Internet-consulting franchise, WSI, in 2007, Drew at first underestimated the need to get out and sell his services, spending time studying the Internet instead. “Those first few months you want to step in and do it for them, but at the same time you want them to grow and learn on their own,” Marvin Himel says.

September 23, 2010

At the upcoming WSI Global Excellence and Innovation Convention in Miami, USA, we’re also organizing an annual charity golf event on September 23rd, 2010. And this year we’re inviting businesses of all sizes and industries in various regions around the globe to get involved by sponsoring the event and making a contribution towards our Make Child Poverty History (MCPH) Program. The MCPH is a global initiative aiming to provide food, water, health care, and education to children in need.

We’ve been so fortunate to have established ourselves as the world’s largest digital marketing franchise, and with that recognition, WSI has remained dedicated to fulfilling our social responsibilities as well. As a founding member of the MCPH Program in 2004, WSI has strived to serve as a catalyst to help eradicate child poverty around the world. With initiatives like corporate and individual sponsorships, or fundraising events and donation drives, our global network of franchisees and suppliers are continuously working towards accomplishing the MCPH goal of providing the basic necessities of life to impoverished children.

There are three types of sponsorships available, each with unique branding opportunities for participating companies.

Here are the details:

Donation of $50 – your business can have your logo featured on a Make Child Poverty History (MCPH) banner at the golf tournament.

Donation of $150 – your business may feature your logo on a large banner at the tournament and receive a certificate from WSI thanking you for your generous contribution.

Donation of $250 – this is the “sponsor a hole” opportunity, allowing your business the ability to brand yourself with a “Sponsored Hole” sign at one of the holes on the golf course. Additionally, you will also have your business name and logo featured on a large banner and you’ll receive a signed wall plaque from WSI thanking you for your generous contribution.

Ultimately the goal of the sponsorship program is to raise $20,000 toward MCPH. Everyone at WSI is really looking forward to the charity golf event and we’re hoping that you and your business will be able to join us in taking one step closer to eliminating child poverty.
